She was an unknown actress who apparently got the break of her life when she was cast as the lead by MGM in Trader Horn. But the film was shot on location in Africa, and took many months to shoot, and she was semi-nude in many of her scenes, and she contracted "jungle fever" and when she returned to the U.S. she was bedridden for five years, which ended her career. She sued MGM for one million dollars, but ended up settling out of court for $35,000. She spent part of her later years working at the Los Angeles Mormon Temple and she passed away at 86 in a Los Angeles nursing home. Some of her other movies include: Trapped in Tia Juana, The Last of the Mohicans, and The Midnight Patrol Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm].
