An Undated (probably 1950s) Vintage Theatrical Folded Stock One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) A circa 1940s Monogram Pictures stock poster sent to theaters that regularly showed Tex Ritter movies. The theater could put up the poster each time they showed a Tex Ritter movie, and thus use the same poster over and over! The posters would often have a blank area where the title could either be written in, overprinted, or a snipe could be pasted on. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created for use by theaters showing re-releases of their 1930s Tex Ritter movies in the 1950s. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area in the middle. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area. Condition: fair. There is much separation along the foldlines as well as areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
