Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had part of its top and bottom blank borders trimmed off so that it now measures 27" x 40" (no doubt so it could fit a modern frame). There was small paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but there is the slight trimming in the top and bottom and the poster is lightly rippled down the left and right edges (mostly in the linen), likely because it was cut from the stretcher too soon.
