It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Luigi Martinati Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Also note that this is an extremely rare Italian poster from during World War II, which we have never auctioned before! Virtually no Italian posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II (mostly only some heavy stock lobby cards, and even those are rare). Apparently there were many paper shortages in Italy during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster was never folded. It had pinholes and stains around the edges. It had a long vertical tear running from the top border into the left of the man's hair and a scuff mark running from the middle of the man's hair down through his nose. There was also a scuff mark in the girl's face by her mouth and some tiny stains and smudges in the faces of both stars. There was an uneven horizontal tear that ran across the upper part of the credits below the title that separated the bottom of the poster from the rest of the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a thin linen with no restoration. If I owned this poster, I would surely have it removed from the old linen and properly re-backed. Learn More about condition grades
