Artist: Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that subway posters were always printed in advance of a movie playing at a theater. But in the case of this subway, it had a special way that it was intended to be used! Theaters were sent four of them, one with the bottom three right sections overprinted with black and then the next one with the bottom two overprinted, and then the third one with the bottom one, and then finally one with no overprinting, and it was intended that they would first display only the one showing the "FIRST" section, and then the one showing both the "FIRST" and "THEN" sections, etc. Doing it this way a week at a time, they could spend an entire month building interest in this new Bond movie! This poster has not been overprinted at all (which certainly makes it far more attractive to display). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few tiny dot stains mostly around the edges, but a tiny amount of them are scattered in portions of the image, mostly only noticeable in blank paper. There are tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss at lower right under the art of Connery and there are just a few tiny blank border tears. The dot stains are not overly distracting due to the poster's large size, and after some proper restoration it would look great, but certainly see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the poster's condition before bidding.
