All-star colored cast") starring Monte Hawley, Jeni Le Gon, Florence 'Suli May' O'Brien, Edward Thompson, "and Presenting for the First Time on any Screen Shelton Brooks and F.E.Miller". In 1938, George Randol Productions was founded by George Randol, who was a black actor who had appeared in a few earlier movies, including The Green Pastures and Harlem on the Prairie the two preceding years. In 1937, he had written and produced Dark Manhattan, an all-black movie, and that led him to form his own company and make Rhythm Rodeo in 1938, this movie in 1939, and then Midnight Shadow. That was his final movie that he was connected with in any way, and we don't know why his career came to a screeching halt, but he lived for decades more, passing away in 1973. If anyone knows more about George Randol or this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
