An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 18") (Learn More)

Ralph Nelson's Lilies of the Field, the classic 1963 Ralph Nelson religious melodrama ("Perhaps the most extraordinary story of courage, conflict and devotion ever filmed!"; "'He is not of our faith nor of our skin' said Mother Maria. 'But he is a man of greatness...'"; "Different by faith, skin and calling but what a wonderful adventure they shared!"; "A motion picture that may well strengthen your faith ...in Heaven ...in man ...and in motion pictures!"; "Five refugee nuns from behind the Iron Curtain and the American ex-GI who helped them raise a monument to faith in the Southwestern desert."; "The Wonderfully joyous and faith-filled story of the runaway Catholic nuns and the Baptist Country-Boy"; "It will move you... first to laughter - and then possibly to unabashed feeling."; "What a wonderful adventure you will share!"; "Based on the novel by William E. Barrett"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Sidney Poitier (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; "as the life-loving ex-GI who one day encounters five nuns escaped from beyond the Berlin Wall..."; "as the fantastic Homer in Ralph Nelson's Lilies of the Field"; "is the incredible, unforgettable Homer Smith in Ralph Nelson's Lilies of the Field"; "Best Actor Award 1963 Berlin Film Festival"), Lilia Skala (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Mother Maria), Isa Crino (as Sister Agnes), Pamela Branch (as Sister Elizabeth), Francesca Jarvis (as Sister Albertine), Lisa Mann (as Sister Gertrude), Stanley Adams (as Juan), Dan Frazer (as Father Murphy), and Ralph Nelson. Important Added Info: Note that this window card has been trimmed and it now measures 14" x 18". Note that this window card was folded in thirds, and because it was folded in such a way, it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that can be sent in standard size mailers), it will be sent that way. But if it is purchased with posters that need to be sent in oversized mailers, then we will of course send it that way.

Condition: good. The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame.
