Note that these comic books were given to our consignor, a major Tarzan collector for decades, by Danton Burroughs, the grandson of Edgar Rice Burroughs! Mr. Burroughs had received them directly from the publisher, and he thought our consignor would enjoy owning them! This surely explains why these comics are in exceptional condition! Measurements: 6" x 8 3/4"Tarzan is a fictional character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs in 1912. Tarzan first appeared in the novel Tarzan of the Apes (magazine publication in 1912 and book publication in 1914). He is depicted as a feral child raised in the African jungles by the great apes who later experiences civilization only to largely reject it and return to the wild as a heroic adventurer. The character has appeared in practically every form of media, including at least 100 movies starting in 1914, plus comic books, comic strips, TV shows, and much more! Note that the items in this lot are from 1972. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good".
