Ballantine & Sons Brewing Company was an American brewery founded in 1840 by Peter Ballantine, making Ballantine one of the oldest brands of beer in the United States. At its peak, it was the 3rd largest brewer in the US. It may be best know for its Ballantine XXX Ale, and the Ballantine logo is three interlocking rings, a design known as the Borromean rings. The brand is currently owned and operated by Pabst Brewing Company. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this billboard poster was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap. Note that this billboard advertising poster was printed in 8 sections designed to overlap. Also note this poster was folded in a way that makes it resemble a tri-folded six-sheet (only much larger, of course, as there are more sections). But the length and width of the folded poster is just about the same as that of a folded six-sheet or three-sheet. This means that this poster needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which will measure roughly 16" x 38", and approximately 2" high, and it will cost more to send than a regular sized package. Condition: poor. The poster was exposed to moisture while folded and it has slight discoloration scattered throughout as well as much paper loss at lower left.
