Biggest musical under the sun!"; "Hear 10 Irving Berlin Songs!"; "Congratulations MGM! 'Annie Get Your Gun' is the best job ever done of transferring a stage musical to the screen. -Irving Berlin"; "At last on the screen!"; "Based on the musical play with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and book by Herbert Fields and Dorothy Fields"; about famed female sharpshooter Annie Oakley) starring Betty Hutton (in the title role as Annie Oakley), Howard Keel (as Frank Butler), Louis Calhern (as Buffalo Bill Cody), J. Carrol Naish (as Chief Sitting Bull), Edward Arnold, and Keenan Wynn. Note that Judy Garland was originally cast in the title role of Annie Oakley, but she was fired after a month of filming due to showing up late or not at all, and for conflicts with Busby Berkeley. Berkeley was the original director who was replaced by Charles Walters who was replaced by George Sidney. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: very good. The poster had an NSS stamp on the back which bled through in the area of Hutton's green gloves and near the end of the gun barrel. There was some writing above and below the NSS stamp that bled through in the white background above and below the gun barrel. There was tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and creases, smudges, and tears on several foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed. You can see slight signs of the bleed through and the touch up in the white area surrounding it, but it is not very noticeable or distracting.
