Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian One-sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 40") (Learn More) Out of the Past (released in other English-speaking countries as "Build My Gallows High"), the classic 1947 Jacques Tourneur romantic love triangle revenge crime film noir thriller ("A Man - Trying to run away from his past... A Woman - Trying to escape her future!" "'Don't try to get rid of me for another woman... ...it won't work!"'; based on the novel 'Build My Gallows High' by Daniel Mainwaring; a great story of a private investigator who is hired by a gangster to find his missing mistress, and he does so, but then he falls for her, and starts a romance with her, even though he knows he is likely signing his death warrant) starring Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Kirk Douglas (in his third movie role!), Rhonda Fleming, Richard Webb, Steve Brodie, Dickie Moore, Virginia Huston, Paul Valentine, and Ken Niles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good to fine. there is a small C-shaped tear in the black background just above the "U" of "OUT"; there are tiny creases down the vertical foldline; there are extra light horizontal folds just above and below the top and bottom foldlines; The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sound! The image area of the poster is in nice unrestored condition (there is not a pinhole or piece of tape anywhere on the poster), and the colors are bright.
