What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had an extra horizontal fold at a slight diagonal above the regular top one. It had tiny bits of paper loss along parts of several folds and some paper loss in the blank borders. It had a tape stain in the right of the middle fold. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
