An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Curse of the Crimson Altar (released in the U.S. in 1970 as "The Crimson Cult" and in Italy as "Black Horror"), the 1968 Vernon Sewell English horror thriller ("What obscene prayer or human sacrifice can satisfy the devil-god?"; "The world's masters of terror!") starring Boris Karloff ("The Master of Evil in his last and most shocking role!"), Christopher Lee, Mark Eden, Barbara Steele, Michael Gough, Virginia Wetherell (billed as "introducing Virginia Wetherell"), and Rupert Davies (billed as "Guest Star Rupert Davies") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "international" style poster for this movie (likely printed for use in theaters outside of the U.S. - note the different title and lack of NSS information.) We have auctioned only one in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2005. It uses the different title of "The Crimson Altar" which is similar to the title used in the U.K., however, several articles from the U.K. and U.S. (some with interviews of Karloff himself) refer to the title as only "The Crimson Altar". If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. The rare one-sheet poster (see above) is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
