An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Tire Trouble, the 1924 Robert F. McGowan Our Gang silent juvenile family automobile car comedy short ("'Our Gang' Comedies"; "Hal Roach presents His Rascals in 'Tire Trouble'") starring Lyle Barton, Joe Cobb, Jackie Condon, Mickey Daniels, Allen 'Farina' Hoskins, George B. French, and Sunshine Sammy Morrison. Note that Farina had appeared in some of the very earliest "Our Gang" shorts, beginning when he was just 2! This movie marked his 19th appearance, and over the next few years, he would play a larger and larger role, eventually replacing Sunshine Sammy as the lead black character (Sunshine Sammy left the series in 1926, when he was 14). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 3 sections. Condition: very good. There are several tiny areas of paper loss in the foldline that runs down the left side of Sunshine Sammy's face, in his cheek down to his chin (around 6", with only tiny loss in all), and an area of paper loss in his chin, approximately 1/4" x 1". There are some creases and tears in the middle of the left and right blank borders. There is separation and tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfolds. There is separation and tiny areas of paper loss in the vertical foldline running from the top left of the tire down into the hair of the girl at top left. There is a 2" tear in the upper left blank border. Other than the above, the poster is in really nice condition. The paper is not at all fragile, and the colors are bright, and it is hard to believe the poster is over 80 years old! Once the poster is professionally linenbacked, all that will be touched up is the tiny areas of paper loss described above, and the poster will look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
