An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style C One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Babes on Broadway, the 1941 Busby Berkeley New York City Broadway theater stage acting dance romantic musical comedy ("The fastest musical show on Earth!"; "Biggest song and dance spectacle of all time!"; "Mickey's impersonation of Carmen Miranda is a riot!"; "Original story by Fred Finklehoffe") starring Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Fay Bainter, Virginia Weidler, Ray McDonald, Richard Quine, Donald Meek, and Alexander Woollcott. Note that this movie includes a scene where Rooney does a dance cross-dressed as Carmen Miranda, complete with a fruit basket on his head! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Al Hirschfeld Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears and paper loss in the top horizontal fold and in the title and credits above and below that area. It had separation and tiny bits of paper loss on the folds in the bottom half of the poster, with some pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
