Date Sold 10/13/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Daughter of the Jungle, the 1949 George Blair African jungle safari adventure thriller starring Lois Hall, James Cardwell, William Wright, Sheldon Leonard, Jim Bannon, and George M. Carleton. Note that the "natives" in this movie look like they are almost surely white men dressed in native outfits with their skins darkened. This puzzles me, as I would have thought there was no shortage of black actors available at that time. If anyone knows why this was, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned this style B poster in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has fine creases scattered in various areas and a few pinholes and faint smudges around the edges. There are also a few small pieces of white tape on front of the corners (they were not put there for any restoration purpose). The rare poster is otherwise in generally nice condition.
