An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 3/4" x 10" (8x10) Movie Key Book Still (Learn More) Prix De Beaute (Miss Europe) (released in English-speaking countries as "Miss Europe" and as "Beauty Prize"), the 1930 Augusto Genina French romantic melodrama (adapted by Rene Clair and Georg Wilhelm Pabst [G.W. Pabst]) starring Louise Brooks, Georges Charlia, Augusto Bandini, Andre Nicolle, Marc Ziboulsky, and Yves Glad NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the still is glued to a linen-like backing (we think it is highly likely this was a key book still, and that someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still, no doubt so it could be put in a frame). UPDATED ON 1/9/2008: Note that it occurs to us that this still could certainly be from "The American Venus", the American movie that Louise Brooks made which involves a beauty contest. It is also possible that this is a candid photo taken between movies, and is not associated with either of the above movies. We hope that some Louise Brooks expert will be able to tell us exactly what movie this still is from (but even if we can not determine that, it certainly is a wonderful image of the beautiful young Louise Brooks!). If anyone has any additional information about this still, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There are some faint smudges in the dark umbrella areas at the top of the still and the right edge (where the extra 1" was trimmed off) has two tiny tears.
