A Set of 8 Vintage Art Prints (each print measures 14 1/4" x 18 3/4" [36 x 48 cm]) with Folder (measures 14 1/2" x 19") (Learn More) Pictures From Mother Goose, the 1945 art print portfolio featuring six-color lithographs by artist Feodor Rojankovsky that were inspired by Mother Goose fairy tales and nursery rhymes and published in the Golden Library series of children's books. Note that artist Feodor Rojankovsky was born in Russia in 1891, and was in both the White and Red Russian armies throughout the 1910s. He had done illustration prior to his army career, and he resumed illustrating in 1931, when he published his first major book, "Daniel Boone", which was hugely successful. He moved to the U.S. in 1941, and continued doing illustrated books, doing over 100 of them, many of them children's books. There is a reference on Wikipedia that says that he also did erotic illustration, but we could not find a reference to that elsewhere, and that certainly must have shocked the readers of his many children's books! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Feodor Rojankovsky Condition: good to very good. The portfolio has tears and tape stains around the edges. The prints have varying amounts of defects, primarily border defects, as seen in our images. But all of them can certainly be framed and enjoyed just as they are, or they could be restored.
