9 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Casanova Brown, the 1944 Sam Wood romantic screwball comedy ("The greatest romantic comedy of all time!"; "From a play by Floyd Dell and Thomas Mitchell"; "World famous, best-seller author Fannie Hurst picks 'Casanova Brown' as 'Picture of the month' in her first review for Modern Screen magazine"; produced by Nunnally Johnson; maybe this was far funnier in 1944!; Cooper was briefly married to Wright, and they divorced, and she discovers she's pregnant, so after the baby is born, she plans to put it up for adoption, but Cooper kidnaps the baby instead, planning to be a single father; obviously, this movie would never be remade, especially not as a comedy!) starring Gary Cooper, Teresa Wright, Frank Morgan, Anita Louise, Patricia Collinge, Edmond Breon, and Jill Esmond. Note that this movie reunited the lead stars from "Pride of the Yankees" (where Gary Cooper played Lou Gehrig and Teresa Wright played his wife)! Also note that this movie was based on a play called "Little Accident", which had previously been filmed three different times in the 1930s, and that play was written by famous character actor Thomas Mitchell, apparently his only writing credit of any note!

Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 9 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills.

Condition: good to very good.
