News Hounds, the 1947 William Beaudine newspaper journalism sports betting gambling comedy starring the Bowery Boys (billed as "Leo Gorcey and the Bowery Boys"; including Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, Gabriel Dell, and Bobby Jordan), Christine McIntyre, Nita Bieber, and Bernard Gorcey (as Louie Dambrowski). Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father!
