Note that the names on this poster were taken from actual casualty lists sent to General 'Blackjack' Pershing. Artist: Howard Chandler Christy Important Added Info: Note that this great poster is mounted to a board, and could be removed from it and linenbacked. Note that because this poster is mounted to a board, it needs to be sent in a very large flat package that will be much more expensive to send than a tube or a regular flat package, so bear this added expense in mind before bidding on this poster! Note also that a tiny bit of the borders of this poster has been trimmed off and it now measures 26 3/4" x 39 3/4" [68 x 101 cm]. it originally measured 27" x 40" so you know it was an incredibly tiny amount that was trimmed off. Condition: fair. The poster was mounted to a foam core board and a very tiny amount was trimmed from the edges (see our image). Prior to being mounted it had stains and some tears around the edges with an 8" tear in the top center. The poster was not that well mounted because there are someone lightly rippled areas scattered through it and after it was mounted it sustained damage at lower left that affects the writing there and the background above it (see our image). One could have this poster removed from the foam core and restored, or one could choose to display it as it is, defects and all.) However, bear the expense of restoration and the expense of shipping this in a very large flat package in mind before placing a bid on it. Learn More about condition grades
