Airmail, the 1932 John Ford romantic airplane aviation adventure melodrama ("The Epic Thriller"; produced by Carl Laemmle Jr.; about pilots trying to deliver air mail in bad weather) starring Ralph Bellamy, Gloria Stuart, Pat O'Brien (in an early movie role!), Slim Summerville, Lilian Bond, and Russell Hopton. Note that if this plot sounds familiar, it is because Howard Hawks "borrowed" it for his 1939 movie "Only Angels Have Wings", starring Cary Grant, Rita Hayworth, and Jean Arthur! We wonder how John Ford felt about that!
