Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More)

Hard, Fast, and Beautiful, the 1951 Ida Lupino tennis sports family relationship romantic melodrama ("'The things she had to do... The lies she had to tell... The love-affair she had to hide... These were the price of fame in the big-time tennis racket.'"; "'I can make you a champion!'"; "The price of fame in the big-time sports racket!"; "'We can use a champion!'"; based on the novel by John R. Tunis; about the mother of a female tennis prodigy, and she sees a chance to have success through her daughter that she never had in her own life, and a ruthless promoter encourages her to do so) starring Claire Trevor, Sally Forrest, Carleton G. Young, Robert Clarke, Kenneth Patterson, and Macella Cisney. Note that Hollywood star Ida Lupino had much success in the 1930s and 1940s, but she then turned to directing, and she made some excellent B-movies, including this one. Had she been given bigger budgets, she might have made some real masterpieces! Note that this movie has an artificial "happy ending" that was forced on the female, similar to the situation that existed with Orson Welles and The Magnificent Ambersons!
