An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Baroness and the Butler, the 1938 Walter Lang Hungary political romantic screwball comedy ("Based on a play by Ladislaus Bus-Fekete"; about the butler to the Prime Minister of Hungary, and he is elected to Parliament, where he makes brilliant speeches, but he continues on as a butler!) starring William Powell (in the title role as the Butler, Johann Porok), Annabella (in the title role as Baroness Katrina Marissey), Helen Westley, Henry Stephenson, Joseph Schildkraut, J. Edward Bromberg, Nigel Bruce, and Lynn Bari NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this scene card, and that was 11 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card had tears and creases in the corners, and someone put tape on the back of each corner and performed slight restoration to the front without backing the card. It also had some smudges and scuffs in the center of the image, extending down to the bottom, and tiny paper loss in the right border. The card displays pretty well, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects, especially from close up. Learn More about condition grades
