Original Comic Strip Art (measures 15" x 22" [38 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Archie Comics is a comic book publisher which was founded in 1939, and is known for its many series (and a spin-off newspaper strip) featuring the teenagers Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Jughead Jones. The characters were created by publisher/editor John L. Goldwater, written by Vic Bloom and drawn by Bob Montana. Artist: Bob Montana Important Added Info: Note that all original art from Archie Comics is fun to own, but THIS specific strip has great interest to movie fans! In it, Veronica is throwing a party that is a "silent movie masquerade", and Archie is dressed as one of the Keystone Kops, Jughead is Ben Turpin, Veronica is Theda Bara the Vamp, and Reggie is Rudolph Valentino! Note that Betty is clearly intended to be some famous silent film star, but we don't know who (if anyone knows, let us know!). Condition: very good. There are some faint stains and smudges in the bottom and lower right, and there are glue stains on the back of the art that do not affect the front, but otherwise, the art is in pretty nice condition (see our image).
