Hill science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy outer space adventure serial sequel ("See the kingdom of the Clay Men!"; "15 startling chapters of further adventures on a new planet!"; "From Alex Raymond's Astonishing Newspaper Strip"; "Original Story and Screen Play by Wyndham Gittens, Norman S. Hall, Ray Trampe, Herbert Dalmas") starring Buster Crabbe (billed as "Larry 'Buster' Crabbe"; in the title role "as 'Flash Gordon'"), Jean Rogers ("as Dale Arden"), Charles Middleton ("as Emperor Ming"), Frank Shannon ("as Dr. Zarkov"), Beatrice Roberts ("as Queen Azura"), Donald Kerr, Richard Alexander ("as Prince Barin"), C. Montague Shaw (billed as "Montague Shaw as 'Clay King'"), and Kane Richmond NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never been able to pin down a year for when this re-release occurred. We searched newspapers from 1940 through 1959, and we could not find that there was any theatrical re-release of this serial at any time during those years (and we did find that in 1952 it was playing on television, so that makes us think this is surely from before that time, some time between its original release and 1952 when it was on TV). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster's blank borders were trimmed off. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and the restorer replaced the missing borders with borders from a different poster. The poster displays well, but you can see slight signs of the restoration.
