(Learn More) Firecreek, the 1968 Vincent McEveety cowboy western ("Nobody expected Firecreek to fight back..."; "There was nothing between them and the rape of the town but a $2-a-month farmer sheriff with a badge carved out of tin by his kids."; "Right over his heart, he pinned the badge carved out of tin by his kids and became the $2-a-month farmer sheriff who asked Larkin and his killers to get out of Firecreek..."; "James Stewart [and] Henry Fonda meet in the heat of 'Firecreek'"; "See the showdown"; "Written by Calvin Clements") starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; "as the farmer sheriff with a badge carved out of tin."), Henry Fonda ("as Larkin, who led the killers into Firecreek."), Gary Lockwood, Dean Jagger, Ed Begley, Jay C. Flippen, Inger Stevens, and Jack Elam NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the estimating script from September 12, 1966 and the screenplay was written by Calvin Clements. Also note that the script has the working title "Fury at Firecreek", but the movie ultimately was called "Firecreek". Note that there are a large number of green revision pages bound into the back of the script. They are from scattered places all through the script, but no one took the time to put them in the correct places (but on the other hand, it means you still have both the original pages and the revision pages, so you can compare the two to see exactly what changes were made!). The first interior page has a form that was to be signed by the person receiving the script and it had perforations in the bottom one-third of that page (and they are true perforations, and NOT a photocopied page). This was the way the studio kept track of who had these scripts! Also, note that there is a loose 3-page synopsis of the movie, plus 4 loose pages of press releases from Warner Bros. Condition: very good. There are some stains at the top of the inside blank back cover and a few tiny stains at the top of some of the last pages, but otherwise, the script is in pretty good condition!
