An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

The Ape Man, the 1943 William Beaudine science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller (based on the story by Karl Brown) starring Bela Lugosi (in the title role as the monster, Dr. James Brewster), Louise Currie, Wallace Ford, Henry Hall, Minerva Urecal, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn and Jack Leonard each played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all they did (no doubt all four of them owned a gorilla suit!).

Important Added Info: Note that this still has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary horror/sci-fi collection of Ron Borst (the stamp reads "FROM THE BORST COLLECTION")! Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm].

Condition: very good. There are tiny faint orange marks in each corner and slight discoloration at top center, caused from a piece of tape on the back of that area. Otherwise, the still is in pretty nice condition.
