Apollo 12 was the sixth manned flight in the United States space program and the second to land on the moon, four months after the Apollo 11 mission. Launched on November 14th, 1969 from the Kennedy Space Center, this space flight was notable in that the crew carried the first color television camera to the lunar surface on an Apollo flight (of course, it got destroyed when astronaut Alan L. Bean accidentally pointed the camera to the sun!)
