An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) The Stranger, the classic 1946 Orson Welles post-World War II (WWII) Nazi romantic crime film noir ("The most deceitful man a woman ever loved!"; "Story by Victor Trivas and Decla Dunning"; about a government agent who is sent to a small town to find a man he suspects is a former Nazi, who is living a new life and is romantically involved with a beautiful woman) starring Edward G. Robinson, Loretta Young, Orson Welles, Philip Merivale, Richard Long, and Billy House NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. This means the poster was backed onto a board backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, and window cards. Condition: very good. prior to paperbacking, the poster was in very good condition; there were extra horizontal foldlines near the original foldlines; there were tears, creases, and smudges around the edges of the poster, and creases along the foldlines. Restoration has greatly minimized the above defects. You can still see slight signs of them from close up, but from any distance away the poster looks great! Learn More about condition grades
