A Folded German Special Poster (measures 18 3/4" x 28 1/4" [48 x 72 cm]) (Learn More) Deutsche Jugend! (literally translates to "German Youth!"), the 1920s German poster encouraging young men to join the Reichsverband Deutscher Kleinkaliberschutzenverband (Reich Association of German Small Caliber Shooting Associations). This organization was part of the German Reich Committee for Physical Exercises, an umbrella organization of sports in Germany during the Weimar Republic (1918-1933). We know that Adolf Hitler renamed the "Grossdeutsche Jugendbewegung" to "Hitler Jugend Bund der deutschen Arbeiterjugend" (Hitler Youth League of German Worker Youth) in 1926, so we would think this poster predates that, because we would think that after 1926, this poster would have some version of Hitler Jugend at the top, rather than Duetsche Jugend. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned this German poster once before, and that poster has now been re-consigned to us, so it is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good.
