Original Vintage Theatrical Double-Bill Movie Pressbook (measures 11" x 17"; 4 pages) (Learn More)

the 1964 double-bill release ("Recommended by Young America Horror Club"; "All new! Double Horrorama Show"; "It will Shock your senses and Chill your brain thru the Power of Hypnosis it will heighten the Horror"; "Presented in Hypnoscope") of El Ataud del Vampiro (released in the U.S. as "The Vampire's Coffin"), the 1957 Fernando Mendez Mexican vampire horror thriller starring Abel Salazar, German Robles, Ariadna Welter, Yerye Beirute, Alicia Montoya, and Carlos Ancira. Note that this Mexican movie apparently had a Spanish-language U.S. release in 1958, but we have never seen anything from that release. We have only seen the movie as part of this double-bill, and it is possible that this is the only U.S. release for the film. and La Momia Azteca Contra el Robot Humano (released in the U.S. in 1959 as "Robot Vs. the Aztec Mummy"), the 1957 Rafael Portillo Mexican science fiction (sci-fi) horror adventure starring Ramon Gay, Rosa Arenas, Crox Alvarado, and Luis Aceves Castaneda
Important Added Info:
Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale!

Condition: very good. Note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers). It is very difficult to find a pressbook that has NOT been cut, and that ads greatly to their value!

folded in half at one time; minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the pressbook (more so along the spine)
