Artist: Al Hirschfeld Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with larger paper loss in the right of the bottom horizontal fold. There was writing above that area that bled through to the front in the white background area. There were tears and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
