A Set of 4 Japanese Art Prints (each measures from 8" x 13" to 10" x 13") (Learn More) Toshusai Sharaku was a Japanese artist in the late eighteenth century. He is considered to be a master of woodblock printing, and he primarily painted Japanese kabuki actors for a short ten month period from the middle of 1794 to early 1795. There is a theory that Sharaku was actually Hokusai, the famous Japanese artist, though nothing has been proven. No one knows Sharaku's birthday or date of death, either. Important Added Info: Note that we have no idea when this portfolio was created, but it is really cool! If anyone knows more about it, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
