Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned four examples of the style A one-sheet from this movie, but we have NEVER auctioned this style B one-sheet! We are also currently auctioning a style A one-sheet in a separate auction. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had tears and small areas of paper loss scattered down the vertical fold, including in Colbert's face. It had fine surface paper loss on parts of the horizontal folds. It had creases, tears, and small paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Many years ago, someone backed it onto linen with no excess and they performed restoration to the paper loss in the vertical fold, but left alone the other defects. If I owned this incredibly rare poster, I would surely have it removed from the old linen and properly re-backed and restored. Afterwards, it will display well, but bear in mind all of the above and look closely at our super-sized image before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
