No Time For Sergeants, the 1958 Mervyn LeRoy U.S. Air Force military slapstick comedy ("The funniest play and the happiest best-seller is even funnier on the screen!"; "The Wonderful guys who won a medal for strictly nothing --and win a Laugh for strictly everything they do! From the same studio and director that gave you 'Mister Roberts' - AND EVEN FUNNIER!"; "The picture that's winning every medal for mirth!"; "Screenplay by John Lee Mahn"; about a country bumpkin who joins the military, and outsmarts all the "city folk"; years later, the basic plot would be borrowed for "Gomer Pyle", which was a spin-off from "The Andy Griffith Show") starring Andy Griffith ("starring in the stage role that rocketed him to fame!"), Myron McCormick, Nick Adams, Murray Hamilton, Howard Smith, Jean Wiles, and Don Knotts (he appears in a very minor role at the beginning of the movie, and he also played that part in the stage play version, and no doubt Andy Griffith remembered how funny Knotts was a few years later when he was about to star in "The Andy Griffith Show", which likely contributed to how Knotts became Barney Fife!)

THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 13 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills.

Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (mostly the ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on all of the black and white lots). Sometimes we noted when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we likely did not catch that on many of the lots (especially the ones with a large number of stills), so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot.
