An Original Vintage Linenbacked Circus Poster (measures approximately 40" x 80") (Learn More)

Reilly and Woods Big Show, the circa early 1900s circus poster ("Frank D. Bryan Manager"; "The Misses Hanson and Nelson"; "These are the warm babies they sing so much about"). We have not been able to find out much information about this show, except that it was around from the 1870s to at least the early 1900s, and the act that is billed was apparently active at the turn of the century, so we would think this poster dates from that time. If anyone knows more about this show, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. The poster had some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases and tears on some foldlines, with many creases, smudges, and some stains in the borders, and some stains in the bottom center of the poster. Someone put a long, large piece of brown tape on the back of the upper part of the poster, for no reason I can see, and it does not affect the front. Many years ago, the poster was backed on to a very thin linen, and either no or very little restoration was performed. If I owned this poster, I would surely have it removed from the thin linen, and backed by a talented professional. After the touch up of the defects described above, the poster will look fantastic!
