An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More)

La nuit est mon royaume (literally translates to "The Night Is My Kingdom"), the 1951 Georges Lacombe French romantic love triangle coping-with-blindness melodrama (about a boy who is blinded, and his parents treat him as though his life is over, but then he meets a nun who works at a school for the blind, and that gives him a normal life) starring Jean Gabin, Simone Valere, Gerard Oury, Robert Arnoux, and Suzanne Dehelly. Note that this movie was made quite a while before the similar "The Miracle Worker", and was one of the first movies to show that blind people could lead normal lives. It also has a great similarity to the movie "My Left Foot", where the hero falls in love with his teacher, but she loves another. The movie is forgotten today except by film buffs, but it deserves to be rediscovered!. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
