An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 9 3/4" x 14" [25 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) George Jessel was a Jewish actor/singer from the 1910s to the 1980s. He appeared in the stage production of "The Jazz Singer", but was passed over for the movie, because Al Jolson was better known. He appeared in many other movies including: Wait Till the Sun Shines, Nellie, Beau James, and Stage Door Canteen. His nickname was "Toastmaster General of the United States". He passed away in 1981 at the age of 83. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by George Jessel! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 9 3/4" x 14" [25 x 36 cm]. Finally, note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Note that our consignor purchased this item in a large collection of memorabilia, and he can provide no information about how the autograph was obtained, but we believe it to be genuine.
