Nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", he is perhaps one of the most famous baseball players to have played the game, having led the Red Sox and the Yankees to a total of seven World Series championships. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 only a year after his retirement! Ruth passed away in 1948 at the age of 53. Important Added Info: Note that this collector's card was advertised as being made with 22 karat gold, but even so, only an incredibly tiny amount of actual gold was used. Please do not bid on this card thinking it is actually made of gold. Also note that we have provided an image of each side of the trading card in the hard plastic sleeve. Condition: fine.
