Le Salaire de La Peur (released in the U.S. in 1955 as "H.G. Clouzot's Wages of Fear"), the classic 1953 Henri-Georges Clouzot French/Italian action adventure thriller melodrama ("Great Thriller"; "You sit there waiting for the theatre to explode!"; "A new shattering entertainment experience!"; about four men who are expatriates living in South America, driving trucks of nitroglycerine over narrow high mountain roads) starring Yves Montand, Charles Vanel, Peter van Eyck, Vera Clouzot (wife of director Henri-Georges Clouzot; in her first movie!), Folco Lulli, Antonio Centa, and William Tubbs. Note that director William Friedkin re-made this movie in 1977 as "Sorcerer" (it was his first movie after "The Exorcist").
