An Original Vintage Photographic Transparency (measures 4" x 5" [10 x 13 cm]) (Learn More) Prime Cut (released in France as "Carnage"), the 1972 Michael Ritchie organized crime thriller ("Together they're murder in 'Prime Cut'"; about a Chicago mob enforcer who is sent to Kansas City to settle a debt with a cattle rancher who not only grinds his enemies into sausage, but sells women as sex slaves) starring Lee Marvin, Gene Hackman, Gregory Walcott, Angel Tompkins, Sissy Spacek (in her first credited movie role!), Janit Baldwin, and Howard Platt NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The coloring of the transparency has changed over the years, and our consignor prepared a "color corrected" version (through PhotoShop), and we have an image of the transparency as it appears alongside the color corrected version, but of course, the auction is for a single transparency. Note that this is a "studio-issued" transparency that was produced by the studio but is not the camera original. What is a transparency? They are produced by the studio and are very high quality and were created in quantity and sent to media outlets or other places that had need of the very highest quality image for reproduction purposes (in newspapers, magazines, or elsewhere). A clear border around a 4x5 transparency denotes duplication from a negative source, a black border denotes duplication from a positive source. This transparency is in a plastic sleeve (but we removed it and scanned it, so that bidders could see just how high quality it is). It will be sent to the winner of the auction in the sleeve. Condition: good. The color of the transparency has changed from how it originally was, but otherwise, it is in nice condition.
