An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

The Shadow Strikes, the 1937 Lynn Shores super hero detective crime mystery thriller (from the story 'The Ghost of the Manor' by Walter B. Gibson, who was the creator of The Shadow character in the pulp magazines; "From The Famous Shadow Stories") starring Rod La Rocque (in the title role as The Shadow/Lamont Granston), Agnes Anderson (billed as "Lynn Anders"), James Blackeley, Walter McGrail, and Bruce Kellogg. Note that The Shadow had been a hero in pulp magazines and on the radio since 1930, but in 1937, a new radio series began with Orson Welles playing The Shadow, and that gave a great boost to this movie, which came out at the same time! Note that this movie was followed by a sequel the following year "International Crime", with Rod La Rocque reprising his role
