An Original Vintage Theatrical Spanish Movie Herald (measures 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" [10 x 14 cm]) (Learn More)

Antony and Cleopatra, the 1972 Charlton Heston English/Spanish/Swiss ancient Rome/Egypt semi-historical epic ("For the first time... Shakespeare's tragic love story is brought to the screen") starring Charlton Heston (in the title role as Marc Antony), Hildegard Neil (in the title role as Cleopatra), Eric Porter, John Castle (as Octavius Caesar), Fernando Rey, Carmen Sevilla, Juan Luis Galiardo, and Freddie Jones. Note that this was a troubled production from the start (Heston loved the idea of directing himself in a Shakespearean play, in the tradition of Laurence Olivier and Orson Welles, but no one else had the same reaction, and he had trouble raising money, and reused battle scenes from Ben-Hur, and the movie did not do well). Perhaps it was because this movie did not do great at the box office that explains why first release movie paper from it from any country is quite rare!
