An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]) (Learn More) Print, the trade magazine ("The Magazine of Visual Communication") that was aimed at people in any aspect of the printing industry, and it was published in the 1950s (at least). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: Note that this is a very special issue of this trade magazine. It is a "creativity issue", and the entire issue was devoted to that, spotlighting people in the print industry who were responsible for creative advertising. Since it was published in 1958, naturally, the person the issue most focused on was Saul Bass, who was certainly the leading figure in the industry at that time, and the magazine is filled with many, many pages of text about Saul Bass and lots of illustrations of art and ads he created, including sections on his motion picture titles and his movie posters, plus train sets he designed, exhibitions, a small house and a veterinary hospital building he designed, and more, and the cover has Saul Bass art of a footprint that we have never seen before! We would think this magazine is extremely rare (and we have never auctioned it before). Note that this item, and several other rare Saul Bass items, were consigned to us by a very longtime Saul Bass collector who painstakingly tracked down these items over many years! This is a great opportunity to add rare unusual Saul Bass items to your collection. Condition: good to very good.
