An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Ann Landers (born as Esther Pauline "Eppie" Lederer) was an American advice columnist and celebrity from the 1950s to 2002. She took over the Chicago Sun-Times' Ask Ann Landers advice column from Ruth Crowley in 1955, and continued to write the column for 47 years. Her sister Pauline Esther wrote a similar advice column called Dear Abbey (under the name Abigail Van Buren). Ann also appeared on TV and traveled the continent to media and charity events. She passed away in 2002 at the age of 83. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ann Landers! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
