Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Russell Janney's The Miracle of the Bells, the 1948 Irving Pichel rise-and-fall-of-a-Hollywood-star melodrama ("A picture to make the whole world happy!"; "Screen Play by Ben Hecht and Quentin Reynolds"; based on the novel by Russell Janney; about an actress who dies before her first movie is released, and the cynical agent who labors mightily to see that the movie is still released, aided by the kindly local priest, oddly played by Frank Sinatra!) starring Fred MacMurray, Alida Valli (billed as "Valli"; best remembered as the female lead of The Third Man), Frank Sinatra, Lee J. Cobb, Harold Vermilyea, Charles Meredith, and Philip Ahn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good. This poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. It appears to have had the following defects: There were small areas of paper loss at each crossfold, pinholes around the edges of the poster, and creases and small tears down the top of the vertical foldline.
