Marek Hlasko's Osmy Dzien Tygodnia (released in the U.S. in 1959 as "The Eighth Day of the Week"), the 1958 Aleksander Ford (billed as "Alexander Ford") Polish/German thriller ("A story of the young and passionate loves of Poland's 'Beat Generation'"; "so revealing...it had to break through the barrier of International Censorship to be shown!"; based on the novel by Marek Hlasko, who also co-wrote the screenplay) starring Sonja Ziemann, Zbigniew Cybulski, Barbara Polomska, Ilse Steppat, and Emil Karewicz
