An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Homesick, the 1928 Henry Lehrman silent California bicycle race romantic love triangle comedy ("Story by John Stone"; about a pretty servant girl in California who puts a "husband wanted" ad in a newspaper, and a local man answers, and so does a New York Jewish man who has traveled the country to meet her; they agree to settle who gets the girl by both entering a transcontinental bicycle race and the winner gets her!) starring Sammy Cohen (a Jewish actor of the 1920s and 1930s who appeared in many movies, usually as identifiably Jewish characters), Marjorie Beebe, Harry Sweet, Henry Armetta, and Pat Harmon. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but otherwise it is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
