An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Russian Movie Poster (measures 24" x 33" [61 x 84 cm]) (Learn More) Vesna (released in the U.S. in 1948 as "Spring"), the 1947 Grigori Aleksandrov Russian mistaken identity fantasy romantic comedy musical (about a female scientist and a pretty dancer who look exactly alike, and the scientist is chosen to play the dancer in a movie of her life, and the two meet and change places with each other, and grow as people when they experience each other's life; it has elements of Ninotchka and The Parent Trap, as well as other Hollywood movies) starring Lyubov Orlova (the wife of the director, in a dual role as the female scientist and the Bolshoi Ballet dancer), Nikolai Cherkasov, Nikolai Konovalov, Faina Ranevskaya, and Rostislav Plyatt If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Russian movie! Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded across the middle and there were rough creases and some tiny paper loss in those folds and there were small tears and tiny paper loss in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
